History:

Virgil is a male lion with a split tail who seems as if he's stepped right off of a spinning carousel. The amusement park he once resided in, however, has been shut down for ages and is now dilapidated. His amusement park was large and resided in a large city. Before the park closed and it was still able to bear the magic that all classic rides hold he was the star of the carousel. Being the lead animal he was adorned in the most elegant and stunning accessories. When the park closed though most of the magic left with the people, and those that returned rarely had good intentions. The last bit of magic left in the park manifested itself in Virgil for in its golden day he had been a symbol of strength to the children who rode him, a sign that a lion can be found anywhere just as bravery could be found in any of them. And so this unspoken love gave him life when at last the gates closed those children out from his realm. For a while he stood frozen, pretending to still be nothing more then an ornament on a ride, but it was not long before the vandalism and inappropriate deeds got to him. If his home was to die then it would rot in peace. He at last decided and as such he prepared to frighten away the next people to make their way though the broken bars of the fence. Hiding he watched as a group of children approached, one small three large. The small one ran ahead of the three large ones, crying as he attempted to escape them. At first this did nothing to phase Virgil and so once they had crossed the thresh hold he charged out with a mighty roar between the smallest and the larger children. The larger ones, bullies, turned tail and fled out, but the small child was terrified as well and with a lion in his way of escape he fled deeper into the park. Whatever satisfaction Virgil felt scaring the older ones was crushed by the fear of the smallest. Following he eventually cornered the child who sat in a ball and cried in fear until Virgil rested his head on the boys lap. Eventually gaining his trust he led the small child out and found what would be his purpose for the next few years, to watch over the children who are bullied and lost and be the courage they have yet to find.

Despite appearing stunningly beautiful on part of the accessories he's adorned with, Virgil can be incredibly violent. He guarded the gate of his home with ferocious intent, as it was meant only to be a place for children to enjoy. On part of this mindset, he chased out intruding individuals who no longer hosted a childlike imagination. When there were hardly any visitors to his domain, he developed a lonely and calculating personality. On the occasion that a child wandered into and was lost in the park, he would help guide them back out. Now though his amusement park is more then only dilapidated, it has begun to crumble around him. No more do children, nor even adults wonder into this once beautiful waste land. And those who had once happened upon him once upon a time have grown old and their memories of him fade as does he.
But new hope has come for Virgil in the form of another carousel feline. For when the end seemed to have come a snow leopard with his own saddle came forth to lead Virgil into a land where his essence wouldn't fade away. And thus came how Virgil found his way into Ellune accompanied by Solstice.​
